===== Air Cleaner Assembly =====

==== Removal ====

  - Disconnect the cool air intake hose from air cleaner cap
  - Remove the wing nut((
Daihatsu 90041-22010
)) and detach the clamps
  - Remove the air cleaner cap
  - Remove the air filter element((Daihatsu 17801-87Z03))
  - Remove the air cleaner case attaching bolts
  - Raise the air cleaner case slowly
  - Disconnect the PCV hose from the air cleaner case

==== Installation ====

  - Connect the air cleaner case onto the carburetor, install the four attaching bolts\\ **Tightening Torque: 7.8 ± 1.6 N⋅m (0.80 ± 0.16 kgf-m)**
  - Install the air cleaner element
  - Install the air cleaner cap
  - Install the wing nut and secure the clamps
  - Connect the cool air intake hose to the air cleaner cap

===== Carburetor =====

==== Removal ====

  - Remove the following parts from the carburetor
    - Vacuum hoses
    - Outer vent hoses
    - Fuel inlet hose
    - Fuel outlet hose
    - Water hoses
    - Accelerator cable
    - Disconnect the connector
  - Remove the carburetor by removing the two attaching nuts
  - Remove the carburetor
  - Remove the gasket((Daihatsu 21911-87217))

==== Installation ====

  - Install the carburetor with a new gasket interposed\\ **Tightening Torque: 12.7 ± 2.5 N⋅m (1.30 ± 0.26 kgf-m)**
  - Install or connect the following parts to the carburetor
    - Vacuum hose
    - Outer vent hoses
    - Fuel inlet hose
    - Fuel outlet hose
    - Water hoses
    - Accelerator cable\\ NOTE:
      * Recheck the accelerator cable play after the engine has warmed up thoroughly
    - Connect the connector

===== Intake Manifold =====

==== Removal ====

  - Disconnect the following parts from intake manifold
    - Booster hose
    - Water hose
    - Intake manifold stay
    - Engine wire clamp
  - Loosen the intake manifold attaching bolts and nuts evenly over two or three stages in the sequence indicated in the figure\\ {{:projects:automotive:kancil:service:em00125-99999.png?400|}}
  - Remove the intake manifold by removing the attaching bolts
  - Remove the intake manifold gasket((Daihatsu 17177-87201)) and remaining material from the cylinder head and manifold

==== Installation ====

  - Install the intake manifold with a new gasket interposed
  - Tighten the intake manifold attaching bolts and nuts evenly over two or three stages in the sequence indicated in the right figure\\ **Tightening Torque: 19.1 ± 3.8 N⋅m (1.95 ± 0.39 kgf-m)**\\ {{:projects:automotive:kancil:service:em00125-99999.png?400|}}
