The primary difference in carburetors for each engine displacement is the needle valve head, due to the difference in fuel inlet flow rates to the float chamber;

Do this basic adjustment before you install the carburetor on the engine.
Setup: keep the carburetor at about 23 °C for a few hours before you start (for example, in an air-conditioned room). This keeps the Automatic Choke's bimetal coil working the same way each time.
