WiiConnect24 on Dolphin

  1. Download WiiConnect24 channels
    1. Download WiiLink-Patcher-GUI and extract it
    2. Run WiiLinkPatcherGUI
      1. Express Setup
      2. Pick the region you are in. If you are not in the listed regions, pick NTSC-U or PAL to get an English system
      3. The next few selections are up to your personal preference
      4. Which platform will you be installing WiiLink onto? Dolphin Emulator
      5. Wait for files to download and patching to complete
      6. Open the WiiLink folder and copy its path
  2. Download Dolphin Emulator - Releases and extract it
  3. Run Dolphin
    1. Config
      1. Paths → Add… → Paste/select your WiiLink folder
      2. Wii → Enable WiiConnect24 via WiiLink
    2. Tools → Perform Online System Update → The region you selected in WiiLinkPatcherGUI (or Current Region if the regions are greyed out)
    3. Launch the Forecast Channel
    4. Continue past any error messages, do the Wii first time setup
      1. You will want the Sensor Bar below the TV otherwise you won't be able to hit the buttons!
    5. Continue past the error message about WiiConnect24 in standby not being enabled
    6. Open the Wii Options in the bottom left
      1. Wii Settings → Wii System Settings 2
      2. Review the Wii user agreements and accept them
      3. Return to the Wii Menu
    7. The WiiConnect24 channels will now be working!
