Adaptec HBA Notes

The AFM-700 BBU cache module can be removed completely without affecting card operation e.g. in HBA mode; I removed it to improve airflow
Heatsink has M3 threaded holes spaced for 40mm fans
- Screw/bolt length: (thickness of fan) + (thickness of heatsink = 10mm)
- Do NOT exceed the length above by more than 1-2mm, the excess length will hit the PCB, damaging the PCB and lifting the heatsink off the controller die
Card gets very hot, hence Adaptec's requirement for 200 LFM of airflow. Don't worry too much, the card will emit a continuous and loud alarm if it's overheating
The binary arcconf packages from Adaptec/Microchip don't work with the mainline Linux aacraid driver
